Translational EEG solutions

The electrical activity of neuronal networks underpins brain activities and cognitive processes and can be evaluated and quantified through the use of electroencephalography, or EEG. The EEG profile is one of the most conserved phenotypes throughout evolution* and the same parameters can be recorded from rodent, non-human primates and humans. Thus, modifications correlating with pathological conditions can be detected in most neurological and psychiatric disorders across different species**. Conserved electro-physiological endpoints revealed by EEG can therefore be used to study most CNS disorders.
